Tryst

I’ve been waiting and wondering what the first review would be on here. I was waiting for something special; a movie, a book, anything I haven’t had before that was good enough to warrant as popping the review cherry. Last night was such an occasion.

To clarify, I did not attend a tryst, but it is the name of a restaurant in Delray Beach. It took a bit to find, and I came with my friend Peg. When we finally found it,  I told the guy at the door it took a bit, and he seemed relieved as though they want it to be hard to find. Fair enough.

Inside the restaurant it’s very eclectic. I loved it immediately. Great art, beautiful mirrors, vintage wallpaper and brick walls all around. We decided the weather was nice enough to sit outside though.

There is a restaurant called Taverna Eros right next to it that both it and Tryst share shade under a large oak tree. Each table was decorated with carnations (I won’t hold it against them), and the wait staff was friendly and professional. Maybe I just think that because our waiter looked like Morgan Freeman.

We ordered the marinated olives for an appetizer as well as a spring salad which was just lettuce and dressing. Still good though. For dinner we got fish tacos, and it was so good. I miss good Mexican food actually.

Overall, I’d love to go back there. Soon. The beer is amazingly cheap, the mix drinks are really expensive though ($10 mojitos. And they aren’t big).

Ratings:

Price is between $10-$30

I’ve also included a few pictures below of the outside painting on the wall, the big tree, and the fish tacos.

New As Poo.

So, yes, it’s a lame title. I have another tumblr, it’s: canttouchthis.tumblr.com.

This is more for my movie reviews and restaurant reviews as a good practice for my dream of writing small articles and blurbs for the coming tourist here in florida, and maybe wherever else in the world I visit.

Enjoy and discuss.
